As you all know, the FFA Alumni are a huge part of FFA itself and without the help of the alumni, there are many things within our chapter that would be done differently. The alumni were originally set up to ensure that previous members of a FFA chapter could keep in touch with that FFA chapter and remain active with the group. Not only do the FFA Alumni keep old members active, it allows for support and promotion of the FFA organization. FFA alumni promotes the personal development aspect of FFA members, individually, along with the group overall.
Our alumni has done many things for us in the past few weeks. The alumni have determined the scholarship winners and have been working on Cornfest projects. They'd like to have a booth at Cornfest and they would like to sell some of the FFA's milk. Our alumni also pay half of the price of the FFA jackets you order. At the last meeting the Alumni discussed funding for landscaping and helping to pay for members to attend the Washington Leadership conference in Washington D.C.
FFA alumni meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month in the Ag room.
