What is the FFA?
Many people see the blue-corduroy jackets worn by members of the FFA. Some
are familiar with our organization, but others often wonder, "What exactly
is the FFA?"
The FFA is a student organization operated in 271 Wisconsin public school
districts for students who are enrolled in middle and high school
agricultural education classes. Formerly known as the Future Farmers of
America, the National FFA Organization is comprised of over 460,000 students
nation-wide, over 16,000 of them right here in Wisconsin, preparing for
challenging careers in biotechnology, food science, veterinary medicine,
landscaping, floriculture, aquaculture, environmental science, production
agriculture and hundreds more. |
