This year’s convention had many activities planned such as tours of different nearby locations such as The Henry Villas Zoo and the Nevin Fish Hatchery. There were workshops to educate and help motivate FFA members. The state speaking contest is also held during the convention. Categories for speaking range from speaking the FFA Creed to a quiz bowl. This year’s state officers were interviewed and took a candidate exam. Two finalists from each section were chosen then the 2003-2004 officer team was announced. FFA members performed on the FFA Talent Stage located in the LifeWork Expo on Wednesday, June 12th. This was a chance to show others some of the talents FFA members’ posses. At the Life Work Expo there were souvenirs and FFA supplies for sale and 2003 FFA Agriscience Fair. Chapters also competed for the 2003 Chapter Spirit Stick Award.
